Greenwich photographer Olaf Soot will be showcasing his work at the Darien Rowayton Bank during the month of February.

DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien Rowayton Bank will be hosting an exhibit of the work of photographer Olaf Soot. Soot, an engineer who lives in Greenwich, has captured scenes of mountain peaks and wilderness all over the world.

Soot’s work can be seen in the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and in Walt Disney and Universal Studios theme parks.

He and his wife Gina have explored mountains, rivers and islands on four continents. For more than three decades they have chronicled several of their journeys, including a 10,000-mile odyssey along the mountains of the Western Hemisphere from Alaska to Patagonia. Soot's films, journals and photography books have won several prestigious awards.

An opening reception with wine and cheese will be held at the Darien Rowayton Bank on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
